Meet Ankor (Ang'kr)
Ankor's mom was a Border Collie crossed with an Australian Shepherd and his dad was German Shepherd crossed with a Chow Chow. He's our spoiled, little cutie pie.
We've been going on kijiji randomly for the last... oh, year or so, looking at the dogs who need homes. We weren't really allowed to have a dog before, our landlord didn't allow it. Nor did our budget or lifestyle. Now we live in a house with a yard, have an awesome landlord (haha), and our "Australia fund" as excess cash (kind of).
We've looked at pups since having moved here. Many (okay, most) temporarily stole our hearts - but when we came across this little guy and his siblings - it was love at first sight.
We were set on going to meet the pups with an open mind -- not picking our pup based on its looks (even though the 2 little spotted ones had already stolen our hearts), but how they act with us, in comparison to the others. All that fun stuff which is near impossible with puppies - but it was our plan.
Long story short.. Ankor stole our hearts. It was immediate. When they were all running around the yard and we picked them up to look at them, cuddle them, most of them wiggled and tried to jump out or lick our faces off.
Not Ankor. He snuggled his furry little head in our face and just sit there with the occasional wet nose rub against ours.
As I told my mom - how could we go there, meet him and NOT bring him home with us.
Impossible.
