It's my party and I'll cry if I want to...

Like any good crafter/building/person who makes stuff.. not everything I do turns out like I want it.

Disasters also happen. Quite frequently.

I'm usually pretty good at keeping my cool, figuring out what I can do to fix it up and making the re-creation better than my original plan.

On my birthday (of all days) I encountered a 'disaster' that beats all disasters.

It was my own fault and the problem is now fixed.. but as you will see, I was quite distraught.

This is me wearing my new favorite t-shirt.

The day before this I was out shopping and out of the corner of my eye I spot the most awesome t-shirt ever.

It had an anchor on it.

Why is this so awesome, you ask?

It represents my pup, Ankor (pronounced: Anchor - I just changed it to k to be different).

Why am I so upset on the day of my birth, while I'm wearing this super awesome t-shirt...

Well, I was also painting. And staining. And being regular ol' me; Messy.
(I know I know.. I should have known better...)

Lucky for me this was a 7$ find at Walmart (best Walmart find ever!).

I went out and bought another 2 days after. Next time I show a picture of this shirt, I will also be wearing a smile.

Crisis averted.

PS - I'm almost done giving my blog a makeover.. Please let me know if you see anything being wonky!!

  1. OMG!!! The same thing happened to me a couple months with my favorite Blazer T-shirt. Sadly I couldn't buy another one because they weren't selling it anymore so it's now become a nightshirt.

So how did your painting/staining project turn out?
